Anna Maier Soprano
Chorus of the Opera

Biography

Anna Maier was born in Strasbourg. After completing theatrical training at the Colmar Conservatory of Dramatic Arts and earning a Master’s degree in Literature with highest honors from the University of Strasbourg, she began studying opera singing in Strasbourg at the age of 21 with tenor Laurent Roos and soprano Mélanie Moussay.

She continued her operatic training at the CRR of Aubervilliers – La Courneuve before moving to Greece to further her studies. She graduated with honors in opera singing from the Faethon Conservatory under the guidance of Dimos Flemotomos, a tenor and former member of the Vienna State Opera soloist troupe.

In Athens, she received mentorship from internationally renowned singers such as countertenor Aris Christofellis, bass Christophoros Stamboglis, bass Dimitri Kavrakos (a faculty member at the Metropolitan Opera Studio), and baritone Dimitri Tiliakos. She also participated in masterclasses led by Cheryl Studer and Dafni Evangelatou. Today, she continues to refine her craft with soprano Mélanie Moussay.

In Athens, Anna has performed as a soloist in prestigious venues, including with the Athens Opera Orchestra at the Greek National Opera (Stavros Niarchos Foundation) and at the Theocharakis Foundation, where she has sung opera arias and French melodies. She played the role of Donna Elvira in W.A. Mozart’s Don Giovanni under the direction of Dimitri Tiliakos in a production by "Opera Lab."

Since November 2021, Anna has been collaborating regularly with the choirs of the Paris National Opera, becoming a full member in March 2024.
