How long have you been working with this product?
I’ve enjoyed 13 years of my profession in the software industry, and if you ask me specifically in the HRMS domain, then I could say that it’s been almost 7 years.
What is the most interesting thing about your job?
Being the Head of Channel Sales, I’d say that partner development is the most interesting character in my job. Identifying the right fit partner, onboarding them, getting them involved in the product, processes & culture of the company, creating a comfort zone for them and along with that balancing both the sides such as the Partner's team and our internal team and I think that is a very challenging and responsible task for me.
I would like to share one thing here; we all do work towards our job responsibilities in service or business to fulfill our own needs. But for two to three years, I have realized that there should always be an identified purpose before putting your feet in any role, then only you can see a different person inside you.
I would like to share one more quote here, which I have read long back once I visited one of our Business partner’s offices and which is still stuck in my mind, i.e., “Stay hungry, Stay foolish,” said Steve Jobs. Since then, I have never been satisfied with what I have done and always try to push myself and keep on trying!
Are there any ideological principles that your organisation follows to maintain the brand value?
Transparency and Being Ethical: We believe that transparency builds trust, trust makes better vendor and client relationships, and in turn, more client references. When we maintain transparency in any project, then it puts the customer in the driver’s seat and sets the vendor as the ad-visor.
Process Driven: We are focused on process and always try to become efficient while maintaining values. This allows us to grow. This results in creating brand value.
Loyalty: Loyalty plays a vital role in an organization. The loyalty of our clients, which keeps our revenue flowing, the loyalty of our partners, and the employees since Spine is more focused on choosing the right employees and the right partners to deliver the best to our clients.
Quality: Quick learning & action towards the enhancement of the product as per the industry trends & user needs. We do ensure to provide prompt & quality support services and as of now having presence across top 30+ cities of India & seven neighboring countries.
Considering the pace at which the SaaS market is growing, how important is it to keep innovating to stay in the game?
It’s necessary to keep innovating to survive in the SaaS market. The shift from On-Premise to On-SaaS is one of the major trends in the IT Sector. We would always try to come up with innovative ideas and keep on upgrading the product way beyond the expectations of our clients, and we follow that as part of the process. We provide major upgrades with new enhancements (apart from the regular statutory changes) on a quarterly basis to all our existing clients based on suggestions received from our existing & prospective clients, partners, and the internal team. Thus, we could proudly say that we have been having most of our clients with us for 10 to 12 years, and hence we are maintaining more than 90% client’s retention and which I can say is the best in the industry.
The duration of innovation in the SaaS industry is shortening from years to months. I think that’s why the major players of the SaaS market, such as Google, Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, and many others, are still on race.
What is one thing that puts your product apart from the crowd?
“FLEXIBILITY”!!
Our products are more flexible, user-friendly & abundantly parameterized. This makes our clients use any of our solutions without depending on us. Our company’s ambition is to develop a solution that doesn’t actually need any customization and which requires the shortest time frame to implement. We do ensure that the product users should be less dependent on our support desk and should use the product efficiently irrespective of the industry, size of the enterprise, and the region where the company is based.
How would you define "a successful product"?
“Faster the implementation faster would be the ROI.” A successful product is a product that is focused on the fulfillment of the industry requirements and advancement to cater to the future needs within a short span of time. The product has to be reliable and should be able to retain its clients forever. Our HRMS and Asset Management solutions are the only bread and butter of our organization, and hence the Spine is focused only on the development of those solutions. So, if I have to brief in one sentence, then my words would be: “Spine Solution is not just software for any organization but an addiction.”
What exciting is coming up from your side in 2020?
Blindly we are moving with the motto of expanding Spine wings across the globe with world-class HRMS & ASSET solutions. However, in specific, we are working hard to strengthen our partner network by providing them extensive training and other marketing tools to make them independent, and that results in the growth of our organization.
What helps you stay updated, interested, and inspired?
Stay Updated: I get updated with the current market conditions through the HR forums, Conferences, Expert’s webinars, etc. Then comes the social media; I specifically prefer LinkedIn, which keeps me updated with the latest market trends. Last but not least, visiting our business partners and meeting them at regular intervals helps me to keep updated.
Stay Interested: These days the whole world is lying on the lap of technology, and we all know how the software market is growing; that’s one of the major reasons to continue to stay in the same Industry. It’s quite interesting as well since the software world is converting into AI & ML. Being a member of a sales team which works in the service industry, I'm responsible for fulfilling our client requirements and for that I need to have enough knowledge of the new market trends & technology and which makes us achieve sustainability in the market and that inspires me the most to stay connected to the IT Sector.
Stay Inspired: As an individual, I always believe in the concept of “More risk & More profit,” working on challenging assignments inspires & motivates me to convert the challenges as Success Stories. Every day is a new day to learn something new.

Good experience, someone looking only payroll processing can use spine software, it has employee database as well to manage, but as now HR is looking all in one platform like leave, PM's, etc which is lacking it also have a bonus, statutory calculation.

My overall experience would be good. But you guys need to work a little on your support team as the time taken by them is too long and then followup mails are also pretty cumbersome. Would suggest if we can streamline the whole process.

Software is simple as you are process with same process which we understood, but to do any thing you new or to update any thing its create confusion and get stuck and for any solution we have to write a mail & after that we have to solve the same by our self as per the solution received. Our request is to provide the solution on phone or do it by taking access of the software.

We are using software for almost 3 yrs. Overall software functioning is very fast. Salary processing without these was very difficult process But some issues like leave updation and loan data updating is more complicated process.
