Latvian soprano Marina Rebeka made her international debut in 2009 at the Salzburg Festival under the baton of Riccardo Muti. Since then, she has appeared on the world's major opera stages, including New York's Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall, Milan's La Scala, London's Royal Opera House, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, Munich's Bayerische Staatsoper, Vienna's Staatsoper, Zurich Opera and Madrid's Teatro Real. She has worked with conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Antonio Pappano, Fabio Luisi, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Daniele Gatti, Marco Armiliato, Michele Mariotti, Thomas Hengelbrock and Lorenzo Viotti.
She was named the first Artist in Residence of the Munich Radio Orchestra and Best Singer of the Year at the International Classical Music Awards. She is a regular guest at La Scala in Milan, where she recently sang the title role in Thais, Elena (Les Vêpres siciliennes) and the title role in Cherubini's Médée.
In recent seasons she has returned to London's Royal Opera House and Munich's Bayerische Staatsoper as Leonora (Le Trouvère), to Vienna's Staatsoper and Zurich Opera as Cio-Cio-San (Madame Butterfly), and made her debut in the title role of Aida at Berlin's Staatsoper Unter den Linden. Marina Rebeka has recorded for several labels, including Warner Classic, Deutsche Grammophon and BR Klassik, before founding her own label, Prima Classic, on which she has released recordings of complete operas (Le Pirate, La Traviata, Norma) and solo albums.
She has won awards such as the ICMA for Best Opera Recording in 2022, a Diapason d'Or and a Diamant from Opéra Magazine. Highlights of the 2024-2025 season include a tour with the London Symphony Orchestra under Gustavo Dudamel and the title role in Norma at La Scala, Milan.
