Born in Novi Sad, Serbia, Milan Perišić studied composition at the Academy of Arts in his hometown and voice at the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory in Trieste. He was one of the singers in the second Crescendo program at the Teatro Real in Madrid. In 2023 he won first prize in the Josep Palet, Les Corts and BA Lirica international competitions.
He won second prize in the Bellano, Paese degli Artisti International Singing Competition and third prize in the Salvatore Licitra and Compostela Lirica International Singing Competitions. At Barcelona's Gran Teatre del Liceu he has sung roles such as the Jailer (Tosca), a Lector and Seneca's familiar (The Coronation of Poppea). At the Teatro Real in Madrid, he sang roles such as Ivan Ivanovich, a lackey and a student (The Nose).
In 2022 he created the leading role of Alonso in the world premiere of Javier Carmena's zarzuela El orgullo de quererte at Madrid's Teatros del Canal. Last season he made his debut as Scarus (John Adams' Antony & Cleopatra) at Barcelona's Gran Teatre del Liceu, as L'Horloge (L'Enfant et les Sortilèges) at Tenerife Opera and as Lescaut (Manon Lescaut) in the Fundació Òpera Catalunya season.
In the 2024-2025 season, his roles include Marcello (La Bohème) in Sabadell, Doctor Malatesta (Don Pasquale) in Palma and Bernardo (West Side Story) in Barcelona. Milan Perišić has worked with conductors such as Jordi Savall, Henrik Nánási, John Adams and Mark Wigglesworth, and with directors such as Barry Kosky, Elkhanah Pulitzer and Calixto Bieito.
